A fun winter way to take attendance each morning. The student just has to drag their penguin to the igloo. Any penguins that are still left are considered absent students. Power Grab Game: Separation of Powers
This activity reinforces and teaching the powers of the three branches of government. Students are broken up into teams and exposed to various situations where one branch steals the power of a another branch. Students need to use the US Constitution to prove that this is a power grab in order to earn a point. Simulation and answers are included in the SMART notebook.

Christmas Family Feud Smartboard Activity
