Using MAPs RIT Band Goals for Differentiation and Guided Reading Teaching Points
This resource includes an EDITABLE checklist for every RIT band in reading informational text, reading literary text, and vocabulary. You can add your students' names to the appropriate RIT band, and then use these checklists to follow student progress. You can also use these checklists for teaching points in guided reading.

Guided Reading Anecdotal Notes Organizer
I use this organizer for each of my 6 guided reading groups in my 5th grade class. It is divided up into Within the Text, Beyond the Text, and About the text general prompts. I write notes under each section for each child so that when I am analyzing my anecdotal notes I can pinpoint exactly where they are struggling with comprehension. There is also a section for additional notes where I put informal running record percentages and/or other notes.

Common Core - Make Inferences Using Textual Evidence
After reading a list of items owned by fellow classmates, and drawing inferences about its owner individually, students will then work in a large teacher facilitated group, followed by individual small groups to draw explicit information and inferences from an included text.
