Print these out, cut off the white on the top and bottom of the pages, and slide through the laminator in one long strip. We have conferences after looking though their journal edits. The students decide which goal they need to focus on for the next couple weeks. Finally, they move their clothespin clip with their number on it (important for a level of anonymity) and its there to visually commit them to the improvement! These student friendly objectives are great for many grade levels.
