Rewording Test Questions for Understanding -ELA Test Prep for Standardized Tests
Students will be shown how to break-down ELA test type questions by putting them into more a simple question. This will help students more ably make their correct choice and gain a greater understanding of the question. This is the text for a successful grant proposal I wrote which earned $5500 to buy iPads for newcomer ELL students. I describe in detail the many ways iPad technology is beneficial to language learners. Although this was a districtwide proposal, it is focused mostly on the needs of secondary newcomer ESL students. Summer School Grant Proposal
This grant proposal involves a four-week summer school session for roughly 60 students who need support over the summer in order to maintain current academic standing and experience a "jump start" to help them transition into the next school year.
