Argument Writing Sentence Starters
Students are often times left without knowing how to begin their argument writing. To help guide your students in citing their evidence and elaborating further, provide them with these "They Say, I Say" templates from Graff, Birkenstein, and Durst, 2012. Equipped with these sentence frames, students will build their argument more eloquently and fully. Great addition to any debate class or criminal justice class that encourages evaluation of argument with proof and evidence.

This is can be used in Middle School and High School.There is also a section for steps in a trial with flash cards that can be used for the students
