Grade Two Fountas and Pinnell Phonics Word Study Program Schedule
Hello teachers! Here is a sequel to my first grade phonics schedule. I created a year-long schedule of phonics lessons from Fountas and Pinnell's Phonics/Word Study workbook. I used the month by month guide that is in the workbook and planned out lessons each week along with sight words to introduce or review each week. The Fanciest Lady (change the y to an i)
This short story is a decodable text featuring words that end in y where suffixes have been attached so students can see examples of the rules for changing the y to an i when y follows a consonant and the suffix begins with a vowel (excluding -ing). It also is geared toward older learners and uses higher level vocabulary.

Valentine's Seven Syllable Types Bundle Pack
Bundle Pack!!! A great way to improve students reading skills is to teach the seven syllable types and the four syllable division patterns. In this holiday activity, kids will practice dividing or combining two syllable words using closed, open, consonant -le, Bossy R, vowel team, and diphthong syllables.
