Then students practice the skill on their own independently in their own leveled books while the timer is going.
I created this lesson to introduce the Common Core Standard 1.RL.6 - Identify who is telling the story at various points in a text.

3rd Reading SOL TEI Review Poem passage with comprehension questions/test prep
This is a TEI Sol reading comprehension review. The passage is the first slide, I print a copy for each student so they can do their highlighting. The questions are on author's purpose, reference materials, antonyms, fact and opinion, main idea, suffix, keyword search, stanzas and lines, cause and effect, homophones, setting, fiction/nonfiction.
