On this worksheet students round two and three digit numbers and then multiply them by one digit numbers in order to estimate the product. I had them round to the left most digit. After, we discussed if our estimate is higher or lower than what the product of the original problem would be. Students really enjoy this because they feel smart multiplying big numbers in their head : )
