Argumentative Essay Outline Fill In the Blanks Organizer
This outline helps students focus on a thesis, evidence, and elaboration by taking them through the step-by-step process of constructing an argumentative essay. When completed, students will be able to take their steps and put them together to form a cohesive essay. I have used this successfully with my lower level students in 6th and 7th grade Language Arts. Writing Essay Common Core FSA Outline - Opinion, Argumentative, Informational
This template is standards based and helps students to organize their thoughts in a no-frills way. It gets to the rigor of the standard and translates well to writing in paragraph form.The outline is also color coded so each element has a color assigned to it. This allowed revisions and proofreading to become a visual for the student. Students should use the colors to underline each element once they have written their paper in paragraph form. For example, evidence should be underlined in blue.
