Argument Writing made easy! This is a simple to use template that I created for my sixth graders just recently. The file is EDITABLE and can be utilized for other grade levels easily...just change the learning targets! :)

Note: The thumbnail pics show the pages incorrectly and unorganized. Please check out the sample previews instead :-)

Also, I have included a section titled "Criteria For Success", which is essentially a rubric for the final essay, which aligns fairly well with the standards.

Also included is a section (page) that lists the Reading information and Writing standards that are addressed in this assignment, listed as "I Can..." statements.

I have utilized this tool and it has truly enhanced my students' success--at argumentative writing--in a low-income, urban middle school!

Please leave me feedback, as it is greatly appreciated!!!
