How To Write A Speech
My students are required to write a 4-H speech. This was my first time teaching a group how to write a speech. I created this flipchart to explain components of a speech along with a rubric.
The grading rubric is embedded into the flipchart. In the notes section on the final slide, the directions explain how to open the grading rubric. The grading rubric is open to change. You can change it to fit your requirements or needs for your students.

Daily Quick Write - writing prompts for upper elementary students
Note: This product is for use with Promethean ActivInspire software and Promethean boards.
I use these "Quick Write" prompts with my students every morning as they arrive. It is a great way to get the day started because many students arrive at different times, but everyone knows exactly what to do each day. The expectation is that students are writing a paragraph.

Chasing Vermeer Introduction for Promethean Board
When starting a new novel, I like to give my class an introduction into what they will be reading. This power point introduces Chasing Vermeer by asking kids to predict what the story will be about, introducing the author, introducing Vermeer, and giving a 3-2-1 Bridge to access their knowledge and feelings about art.
