This activity is intended to connect Multiplication and Division fact family equations to coordinating word problems.

December/Christmas/Winter Journal Writing Prompt Booklet
This is a 7 page booklet that features two journal entries on each page. The first is a title page, so there are 12 writing prompts. Each page has several lines for a student response, as well as a box to draw a picture of the journal entries.
These half sheets are to be cut out and given to students one at a time. At the end of the month, just before break, I like to punch holes and bind the journals for students to keep as a momento.

I love the idea of having a little something for the students and parents to take home with them during Open House/Meet the Teacher nights. I made this for myself and wanted to share it with you all in an effort to save you a little time. :-)
This is the perfect size for Gourmet brand microwave popcorn (Wal-mart). It was the cheapest and had the largest amount, so that is what I purchased for my classroom.
It is editable so that you can switch it around and add your name/subect.

Customizable Brochure for Parents: How to Help Your Child with Homework
This brochure is great to hand out to parents at open house at the beginning of the year. It gives parents excellent tips for working at home with their child on homework. These book club or library club permission slips are a great way to keep track of club membership. It is also a good way to protect yourself from any liability issues, so I recommend keeping the signed forms in a file drawer. This looks best in color, but black and white is just as effective.
