A quote that they live by? Someone they look up to? What they wished the school mascot was? They fill their jars with 10 items that fit the question: What's Your Jam? SCIENCE WRITING/ RESEARCH PROJECT/CONTEST: URBAN FARMING

Teachers: This project is good for a botany contest. See what the students design and create for the future of urban agriculture! The Earth's population is large, and growing and science will lead the way on creativity, and expanding the output of farm production! Have a great time as students talk about their designs, and hang them on a bulletin board. Perhaps, a few prizes might be exciting.

Here's everything you need for a great bulletin board project. Forms, two intro slides, rubrics, and a teacher/student contract which will help save you from organizing nightmares. I use this every year as a beginning. It's a way of getting the students out into the building and working, a way to get teachers to accept them. Oh, don't forget to make badges. You'll want those.

This Accounting Cycle Learning Center is customizable to your needs. Usable in any Accounting class (Accounting I, II, or Advanced / College Accounting). This learning center works great on a bulletin board or class whiteboard. Works great as an ongoing multi-semester note taking tool. It should take about 1/2 of a school year at the high school level to work through the entire learning center. A small amount of prep work is necessary to use throughout your career (can be done by students). Ma

For MLK Day this year, I created a poster paper for students to write their dreams. I included a thought bubble and then I uploaded their school picture into the word document to make it look they were telling their dreams. I then posted them on our "I Have a Dream Wall" in our gymnasium. It's a great way to get everyone in your school involved in MLK Day.
