"Shade It" lyrics (Math Graphing Song)
I rewrote the lyrics to the popular song "Shake It" by Metro Station for my Algebra I students. The new words describe the process of graphing lines and linear inequalities. My singing voice leaves a lot to be desired, but the math content is solid and the kids thought it was hilarious!

Solving Equations Math Song
This is a song about how to solve equations to the tune of "1 2 Step" by Ciara. My students and I sing this multiple times throughout the year to solve equations. I also use it as a call and response when students get stuck and don't know what to do. I'll watch students mouthing the words on tests and quizzes to help them remember. This is a song to sing with the kids for adding and subtracting integers. Sometimes figuring out what to do is hard when you are first working with integers. Use this song as a guide. I use this with my 6th grade, and the junior high/high school teacher uses it as well.I did not make this song up myself. My sister (secondary math teacher) told me about it. She did not make it up either.
