"Weeping" Song Apartheid Lesson
"Weeping" is a song made famous by Josh Groban but was originally written by Dan Heymann, a white South African man. It is a protest song against apartheid. This lesson includes a copy of the lyrics, a link to the video on YouTube, a graphic organizer for students to follow as they listen to the song and perform a close reading on the song, a follow up homework assignment and detailed directions for the teacher.
