Students are asked to take observations, measure the stems, and draw pictures of the plant on a continuous basis. This works great as a whole class activity! Personally, I began this with my class on Earth Day (we planted seeds) and recorded the growth until the end of the school year. On the last day of school, the students took their plants home for the summer!
