Ready to practice volume with your students? This activity/project will get your students in groups and creating a Robot using nets of 3D figures. For more scaffolding, I provided pre-printed nets of different shapes enlarging them or shrinking them to give them a variety of sizes. For more STEM/Honors classes, I showed them how to make it on their own so they could create their own sizes. This was a great application project to put at the end of the year before review for State Testing.

Students will take each category and create a math problem that will reveal the answer to the category once the math problem is solved by a classmate or teacher. I have each student write out their math problem on a notebook piece of paper. Then I proof the problems. Then I give the student the All About Me Math paper and they cut out the flip portions of each category. Then the student glues the paper to a plain piece of paper . Then under each flap they cut out they write their math problem.
