Students will then fingerprint themselves and analyze their unique fingerprinting types. Lastly, students will obtain a suspect fingerprint and compare it to the rest of the class to solve the case of the "whoopee cushion prank."

Students are given plants, light sources, flasks, BTB, straws, etc. and they must design a test to prove plants produce oxygen in the light. Students must create their own data table and also design a control. This lab can be used by splitting the class and using the cellular respiration lab to show the cycle of energy into and out of plants and how it flows.
