Fall Is Here
Act out the animals in each of the verses. Clap your hands during the chorus. Change the actions in the chorus; e.g. stomp your feet, bounce around, swing your arms, tap your toes, etc. Feel how the verses are smooth and gentle and the choruses are bouncy and energetic.

Wintertime
A music and movement activity describing animals' behavior in the wintertime, as well as giving an example of the contrast between quiet/loud (piano/forte) music and jumpy/smooth (staccato/legato) music. The children pretend to sleep during the quiet chorus, and then pretend to be the various animals during the verses. Make sure to encourage loud bear snores in the last verse!

Snow Is Falling
This is a musical scale song, playing the descending scale. It acclimates children's ears to that scale, while giving them a gentle movement activity. Winter Clothes
A fun way to learn the names of winter clothes, the difference between winter and summer, and how to sneeze into one's elbow, all in one song! Can be used as a sitting song or a large movement activity. While sitting, have the children “patsch” their knees during each two-word phrase, and then clap two times following each phrase, (except for the last line of each verse). The Fairy's Gift
A lovely little ballet about a fairy that wants to give a gift to the Great Unicorn who watches over Fairiesland. She carefully wraps her gift, ties it to her waist and then flies to the Unicorn's home. Just before she arrives, she sits on a rock to rest and makes a wish. The Unicorn, who's watching from nearby, grants her wish.
