You can use these cards in many ways. 1. Print these cards, cut them out, and use them as a visual introduction to citizenship. • Show the students these cards and ask them if the children shown are being good citizens or if they are following rules at home, school, or in the community. • Use these cards as discussion starters. Show a particular card and ask the students what they should do if someone else is not being a good citizen. 2. Print these cards, cut them out, and laminate them.

It is a version of "I have, who has" but the students have to do silly activities and are timed so that everytime we do it, they try to "beat the clock" of the last time we played. It is a lot of fun for the kids after they have done it a few times.

Children engage in many forms of play. This form allows you to track the stage of play and development. As we model conversations and problem solving strategies this form allows teachers to track growth, record conversations and plan next steps for the focus lessons needed to inform our instruction. These developmental stages come from research of Mildred Parten in "Purposeful Play." Use the six stages of play based on your students interactions and your observations during choosing time.
