Leadership Poster Project for National Honor Society
This is a project that any group interested in leadership can complete. I currently use it for National Junior Honor Society, but it can be used in National Honor Society as well. Students will interview a community leader, and will create a poster reflecting the interview. The interview is guided by the questions on the document. Students can present the final product, or it can be displayed during the months of January and February when schools celebrate American leaders.

I'm seeing more and more etymology questions on my third grade students' standardized exams. Personally I think etymology is fun and interesting, especially since I took Latin in high school! It can also be great for English Learners to see familiar word cognates.

Nyoongar Aboriginal Six Seasons - Kambarang
This is an interactive investigation where the students are taken to a bushland setting in Perth Western Australia or have access to a bushland area on their school site. The students use the worksheet to guide their investigation about the Nyoongar season of Kambarang which occurs in October/November.
