Students will solve word problems with division of fractions as they travel around the world. Students will visit 10 countries where they will need to solve the problem in order to obtain the next clue in order to visit all of the stations. On the top right hand corner is the answer to one of the word problems in the packet. Answer key and recording sheet is included. Colons/Semi Colons Quiz in ACT Style
This is an ACT-style quiz over Colon and Semi-Colon usage that I used with my Junior College Prep/ACT Prep course. I find it useful to quiz them in the format in which they will be tested. The subject of the reading is Kwanzaa, and is altered from Wikipedia in the style of a reading passage a la ACT. There are 8 questions on this quiz that should showcase the students' mastery of the skill of using colons and semi-colons.
