House On Mango Street: Assessment STAAR
This is an 11-question assessment that includes 4 multiple-choice questions for each of two vignettes found in Cisneros's House On Mango Street. There's also an open-ended question for each vignette and an additional cross-over multiple choice question over both vignettes. Questions include some on setting, characterization, theme, inference, drawing conclusions, plot, diction, and paragraph construction. These are the sort of questions one might see in the new Texas assessment: STAAR.
