Inferring Mat
Support inferential thinking by teaching your students how to visualize when reading and/or listening to texts. Use the visualizing mat to help them make a picture in their head and recall clues they heard or read from the text. Teach them to make connections with support from the connections organizer. Holiday sorting by shape and category great for autism and general skills
This file folder activity is great for small group and individual work times. I use these to create two seperate file folders. One with sorting by shape (circles, triangles, and rectangles) and the other sorting by category (toys, food, animals). Students place the ornaments on the appropriate tree.
