Students will be taken through notes covering the difference between prisms and pyramids, what a cross section is, and what they look like in rectangular and triangular prisms/pyramids.

This is an In Class Project, we used it for May Math Month, it is hands on and students actually build a neighborhood. I paired student into groups of two. Every two students built a home. When the project was complete, we presented our "neighborhood" and homes. At that point we invited the parents to our grand opening and auctioned off the houses. The students wrote a persuasive writing piece about their home.
