Back to School Smartboard Dice Activity
Use this Notebook file on your Smartboard on the first day of school to get to know your new students. The large die on the bottom is an interactive one. Action vs Linking Verb Exercise for Smartboard
This Smartboard file (Notebook software version 10) is an exercise of 5 slides with 25 example sentences for action vs. linking verbs. This is an interactive activity where words (details) are revealed one at a time. Students try to figure out the main idea as the words are revealed. The last reveal is the idea. Some of these are pretty straightforward, others take a little bit of creativity to solve. This activity works really well for developing thinking skills (analysis), and for reiterating the concept of main idea as an overarching topic.
