TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I have taught high school and college for 30 years and love it! I live to create good experiences for my students, and to create works ordinary readers and history fans alike will find fascinating. Website: timwuebker.com

MY TEACHING STYLE

Multifaceted. I try "engage students where they live" by having them do things that will make their lives better. I seek out best practices.

HONORS/AWARDS/SHINING TEACHER MOMENT

* 200 score on Praxis * 100% tuition reimbursement scholarship to Truman University. * 100% tuition reimbursement + salary for being a T.A. at Marquette University. * Scholarship for Creativity.

MY OWN EDUCATIONAL HISTORY

* M.A. in Literature from Marquette University. * Praxis Score: 200 on a 100-200 scale. * G.R.E.s all between 700-800. * Triple major in math, literature, and writing from Loras College. * ACT of 33. * Second most important: I am addicted to reading, writing, podcasts, and learning from every source I can find. I have 100+ library books checked out. (The things I'll do for teens and myself....) * Most important: I've taught 3,000+ students from six continents, ages 14-62. I've loved this, and am on fire to keep giving back.

ADDITIONAL BIOGRAPHICAL INFORMATION

I ran 51 marathons. I write novels. Check them out on amazon. timwuebker.com for materials unrelated to teaching. My book, "Money for Teens: A Guide for Life" is available on amazon. It is also unrelated to teaching nearly all classes except for personal finance and perhaps other business classes.
