I began my career in education in vocational training for adults with developmental disabilities. This gave me insight into various learning styles and needs. I spent twelve years in elementary education teaching most grades and serving as an assistant principal, and several years consulting and tutoring individuals. Teaching writing inspired me to become a writer myself with two books published and a few more in the works.
I am a hands on learner. I can see directions and hear directions, but I need to actually physically work through problems and activities in order for it to be cemented in my knowledge. Because of this, I strive to teach to all learning modalities, giving every student the opportunity to learn and be successful.
