9th year of teaching 8th Grade US History.
Hello Everyone! Just a little bit about me. I love doing hands on activities with my kids like simulations and reenactments. Being a Civil War reenactor myself, you can see why I love bringing that idea to my classroom. Every year we do a reenactment of the Continental Congress, a Valley Forge simulation, Battle of Yorktown reenactment, Civil War encampment, and a class government simulation. I also LOVE primary sources. I believe there are few things better than letting a student get into the mind of people who lived through the events we are learning about.

I love my family and teaching history. I have reenacted the Civil War for 15 years and love traveling to historic sites. You can usually catch me with my nose in a book, gardening, or spending time with my wife and two young boys. Please consider following my store and my Pinterest Page! US History Market
