TEACHING EXPERIENCE

Jenny's education background is in public health with a specialization in international health. She spent several years teaching English in Thailand to high school and college students after finishing her degrees. As she became a wife and mom, she knew she wanted to continue teaching but also have time with her own children. This is her 10th year teaching as a certified teacher with 5 years of previous experience overseas. Jenny is currently an ESL Instructional Specialist. Danny Is completing is 6th year in secondary education. He loves history and philosophy. He has taught several AP courses. See his AP video series coming soon. Jenny and Danny have taught in Texas, the Republic of Georgia, Thailand and in Canada.

MY TEACHING STYLE

If you were to walk into one of our classrooms you would see a certain level of controlled chaos. We have had students in small groups daily as well as a whole group time. In order to develop all 4 linguistic domains (listening, speaking, reading, and writing) it is important that students are practicing; therefore we believe the controlled chaos is necessary.

HONORS/AWARDS/SHINING TEACHER MOMENT

Jenny was featured in a story by our local newspaper as well as on Telemundo. She also won teacher of the year!!

MY OWN EDUCATIONAL HISTORY

Jenny: Texas A&M University (BS in health) and University of Alabama at Birmingham (Master of Public Health in International Health) Danny: Austin Grad School (BA in Bible); Abilene Christian School (MA in History and Theology); ICS - Toronto (PhD Systematic Philopsy - ABD)

ADDITIONAL BIOGRAPHICAL INFORMATION

We have 3 beautiful children; ages 13, 15 and 17.
