Margaret taught at the elementary level for 20 years (mostly 4/5/6) then over the next 20 years, established and coordinated district-wide gifted services in math and language arts for a diversified suburban school district (K-8).

Margaret's teaching style emphasizes student engagement, thinking, problem solving, teamwork, writing, discussion and presentation.

HONORS/AWARDS/SHINING TEACHER MOMENT

Margaret was honored by the Illinois State Board of Education with a "Those Who Excel Award of Merit."

MY OWN EDUCATIONAL HISTORY

Margaret earned her BS in Education from Northern Illinois University; an MA in instruction and curriculum from National-Louis University; and a Certificate of Advanced Studies in Administration and Supervision from National-Louis University.

Margaret is the mother of 3 very talented middle school teachers! Retired; educational consultant for a Regional Office of Education; runs a small antique business.
