TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I will be a Credentialed Teacher at the end of the year. I have been in a First/Second Grade combination class, and a fourth grade class for my two students teaching placements. I also taught second and third grade at a summer school program. I taught second grade in these subject areas: English, Reading, and Critical Thinking. I taught third grade in Reading. I have helped and observed in Kindergarden, First, and Fifth grade.

MY TEACHING STYLE

I have learned to use as many different styles as is needed to reach all of my students. Since all students do not learn the same I try to differentiate as much as possible. I use Gardner's Multiple Intelligences, as well as Bloom's Taxonomy. I focus my lessons to include auditory, visual, and kinesthetic qualities for each learner.

HONORS/AWARDS/SHINING TEACHER MOMENT

I will receive a Language/Intercultural Awareness Certificate from the Multiple Subject Credential Program at California State University Fullerton once I complete the program in December 2012.

MY OWN EDUCATIONAL HISTORY

I received my Associates Degree from Mount San Antonio College in 2008. I received my Bachelors Degree in Liberal Studies at California State University Fullerton in 2010. I will complete my Multiple Subject Teaching Credential from California State University Fullerton December 2012.

ADDITIONAL BIOGRAPHICAL INFORMATION

I look forward to learning and gaining more knowledge about teaching as the years go on. I feel that we can only grow further from our experiences and what we can hear from other teachers.
