By The Writing Bud I have 17 years experience in Education. I spent 5 years teaching 6th grade ELAR, 2 years in a self-contained 4th grade classroom, 4 years training teachers to use the internet to find resources, 1 year teaching self-contained 1st grade, 4 years teaching 3rd-7th writing, and 1 year as an assistant director of a charter school. I've done a little bit of everything! :)
I love to see my students engaged. I am NOT a stand up and lecture for an hour kind of teacher, but I do believe that a quick power point to engage students and start a lesson can be very effective. I like students to interact with each other and move around as much as possible. In my opinion, a busily humming classroom is a productive classroom!
