TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I got my start teaching ELA in a rural K-12 school in Alberta. Talk a bout a steep learning curve! I taught ELA through Grades 7-12 in both -1 and -2 streams for those first 5 years! I know firsthand what a different each year of education makes to the bigger picture. I am now teaching in the city of Calgary where my ELA classes involve a diverse mix of students. I'm constantly refining my lessons to address the linguistic, cultural, and socioeconomic realities of these awesome kids.
