I've been an SLP for 10 years. I've worked in public schools for 10 years and in rehab settings with adults for 2 years. Prior to becoming an SLP I worked as an aide in special education with 3 to 6 year olds.
With both children and adults I enjoy a client-led therapy style that is fun and engaging. I tend to work on functional skills in natural settings because I think that is where the student/patient best buy-in comes from.
