Ten years ago, I began helping out in my oldest kiddo's first grade classroom. I enjoyed myself so much I decided to go back to college to pursue my own dream of being an elementary teacher. Later, I would start as a substitute teacher in grades K-12. After 6 six years of balancing school with being a mommy of three, I had earned my Bachelors of Science in Elementary of Education. My first year of teaching I found my home in third grade. I also decided to pursue my Masters in Educational Leadership, so that I may teach our future teachers.
I am a firm believer in cooperative learning. I feel students learn best when they are discussing what they are learning with their peers. I also like to provide differentiation through center work. Brain breaks help keep our kiddos fresh and active throughout the day, so I feel it is important to keep them up and moving.
Yet to be added
I have a Masters of Educational Leadership from Northern Arizona University.
I have been married to my high school sweetheart for 16 years and we have three kids, one dog and a desert tortoise.
