TEACHING EXPERIENCE

8+ years of teaching Music to Kindergarten - Grade 10 in an Independent school. 8+ years of teaching private singing and private piano lessons, Glee Club, Musical Theatre and Early Childhood Music and Drama classes. 8+ years directing choirs, ukulele ensembles and school musicals. 2+ years teaching small-group keyboard, guitar, drum kit, ukulele and singing lessons. 20+ years experience in choirs. 20+ years piano.

MY TEACHING STYLE

I teach the Kodaly Method with elements of ukulele and Boomwhackers. All of my posters are themed and coloured to the Boomwhacker system. I love having a colourful engaging space to learn in, but I find that many of the posters I have found online have been over-crowded with clipart and borders that distract students. My posters and worksheets are colourful, but clean, simple and easy to read.
