I'm a speech-language pathologist currently working in the public school system in a school with a low socioeconomic status. I worked for four years in private practice where I developed a passion for intensive cases that require creative, specialized materials to develop select skills to improve daily function. I strive to provide effective, specialized instruction that is related to what is being taught in the classroom. My learners often need additional levels of support to understand grade-level concepts. My favorite resources to use are books because they can be used to target a variety of goals at the same time. I completed continuing education in the area of orofacial myofunctional therapy (tongue thrust) and completed the Beckman Oral Motor Techniques Training taught by Debra Beckman. I also had the privilege to attend Pam Marshalla training in techniques to remediate /r/, /s/, lateral, and frontal lisps. That being said, I have a passion for teaching articulation and oral motor skills in unique ways.
I strive to find research based materials and methods to best teach students who come from many different backgrounds. I have a deep interest in using multisensory tools to support my students.

I have a Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology and hold my Clinical Certificate of Competence with the American Speech, Language, and Hearing Association.
I'm a proud momma of two young boys and enjoy being outdoors as much as possible. My creative side comes from my mom and has always been there-I've just finally decided to share it with the world. I hope you find my resources helpful!
