I'm a third year English teacher as well as a part-time Master's student in Educational Leadership.
I have a particular interest and expertise in differentiated instruction. The element of choice and project-based learning is the cornerstone of my classroom pedagogy, so diverse learning styles can use their strengths to meet the same Common Core Standards.
While not an official award, I was featured on a two-part television segment for the work my students and I did in our persuasive writing unit (Spring 2014).
Bachelors: University of Wisconsin - La Crosse. Masters: Edgewood College.
I'm a 26 year-old teacher who's full of energy and passion for my job. I'm constantly experimenting and reflecting on what works and what doesn't. The materials I have to offer are proven to work in both student engagement and depth of content. While I'm not the traditional "veteran" teacher, my lessons bring a 21st century "swag" in contrast to more traditional ways of learning language arts.
