4th year Business and CTE teacher. I also taught Pre-K for 2 years.
I'm all about student engagement and active discussions! I learn just as much from my kids as they do from me! My students are learning vital life skills so it's important for me to make sure they understand this. I also try to make class as fun as possible -- it's no secret that economics and finance can seem dry and boring so keeping students actively engaged is a must! When I first started teaching, I came in after school had already started and I walked into a room with bare bones posters, no resources, and bored students. Realizing very quickly that it would be sink or swim, I quickly began scouring the depths of the internet for resources. I know how hard it can be to find quality resources for Personal Finance and Economics that is engaging and relevant. My search turned up next to nothing -- so my first summer as a teacher was spent reinventing my curriculum -- I've worked incredibly hard to create resources that will not only teach your students but also boost their confidence in their abilities!
