TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I've taught middle and high school English and high school social studies. I currently teach AP Language and Composition, AP Literature and Composition (both also dual credit), and geography and world history, speech, and English remediation. I've also taught 6th grade writing, 8th grade language arts, government, world literature, popular literature, and composition.

I try to give my students as much control and say as possible. My class is student-centered and, as much as possible, project based.

I earned my undergraduate degree in English and Speech Communication Education from Minnesota State University, Mankato, and I have a master's in pk-12 Reading from University of Nebraska, Kearney.

ADDITIONAL BIOGRAPHICAL INFORMATION

I've taught in Minnesota and Indiana, which is where I currently live and teach. I've also lived in Montana and South Dakota. I enjoy reading, genealogy, couponing, and spending time with my husband and two dogs.
