TEACHING EXPERIENCE

My career started with teaching Pre-K outside of Atlanta, GA in 1996. The following year I moved back to New York and started subbing in the district I grew up in. I began teaching third grade in 1997 and stayed in third grade for the first 16 years of my career. Last year I moved up to fourth grade and I love it!

MY TEACHING STYLE

Getting to know my students strengths and weaknesses and understanding each individual's learning style so that I can best meet their needs is one of my favorite part of being in the classroom. Finding ways to empower my students, inspire them and give them the tools to be lifelong learners is what motivates me and is my creative outlet. The curriculum is ever changing, so my focus has always been on my relationship with my students and giving them the tools to be successful learners and risk takers in the classroom.
