TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I taught Geometry, Honors Calculus 2, and Statistics for 1.5 years at a private high school. Currently, I am teaching Geometry, Biology, and AP Computer Science Principles at a small, rural public high school. I have a Bachelor's and my teaching certification is for Grades 6-12 Mathematics and basically any science ending in -ology. I am pursuing a Master's degree in Educational Leadership, but have no intentions of leaving the classroom anytime soon!

MY TEACHING STYLE

I have high expectations for my students, but I meet them where they're at and watch them blossom. I focus on building up confidence in math skills and continue to push a little further with each challenge. I enjoy having an active classroom and listening to students explain their thought process for a problem in their own words to their peers and I. The biggest takeaway I want my students to have is problem solving skills, perseverance, and, at the very least, a tolerance for math!
