TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I have over 17 years of teaching experience on 3 different continents. I studied and started teaching in South Africa after which, I moved to the UK for 9 years, continuing and building on my career as a teacher. I am currently living and teaching in the UAE with my little family. Most of my teaching experience is in the Early Years as well as with children where English is their second language. I have been teaching the British National Curriculum (Development Matters) for the majority of my teaching career, but have recently made a change and am now teaching in an IB school - I am loving it!

MY TEACHING STYLE

In my classroom, I prefer engaging activities and for children to be independent learners and do active learning. I am a facilitator of learning and create exciting, engaging environments for the classroom to become the third teacher.
