TEACHING EXPERIENCE

Hi! We're Dave and Elisabeth. We have both taught a range of grades from Kindergarten all the way to Grade 12! Our areas of expertise at the secondary level are Special Education, Geography, Science, Business, and Outdoor Education.

MY TEACHING STYLE

We both have very similar teaching styles, which is why we make such a great team! In our classrooms, we incorporate engaging and hands-on inquiry projects, thought-provoking discussions, and always like to emphasize the big ideas of a lesson with consistent practice and reflection.

HONORS/AWARDS/SHINING TEACHER MOMENT

Teacher Resource Cabin was selected as a TPT Teach For Justice grant recipient. Through this program, we had the opportunity to create resources for educators around anti-racism, equity, and justice. The resources we created are "Detecting Discrimination and Privilege Task Cards" and "Diversity in the Outdoors Unit Plan and Workbook."

MY OWN EDUCATIONAL HISTORY

Dave has a Bachelor of Administrative Studies and Bachelor of Education. Elisabeth has a Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Education. We are both qualified to teach all divisions- Primary, Junior, Intermediate, and Senior!
