Description
This FRENCH project is intended as a culminating task for Grade 2 Social Studies - Changing Family and Community Traditions (les traditions familiales et communautaires), aligned with the 2023 Ontario Social Studies curriculum.
Students will research all about their families. Then, they will choose an heirloom to design, either a mug, t-shirt, or jewellery. Their heirloom design will include pictures that represent their family's traditions, celebrations, language, family members, food, and hobbies.
To research, students can use the provided graphic organizer and have a discussion with a family member about their family's traditions, celebrations, language, family members, food, and hobbies.
In the detailed lesson plan, a Project Overview for Google Slides™ is included that explains what an heirloom is with some visual examples.
