By Teach Tkaronto I've been teaching high school English and French since 2005. I've taught the new Indigenous Studies course (NBE3U) since 2020 and I know there is a big need for teaching materials in this area. I hope my work helps!
Student-led and curiosity-driven learning When we take care of the educator, everyone in the learning environment benefits; with this in mind, I prepare a lot of whole unit packages that I can give to students and we can work through together, minimizing my planning time and allowing me to be very present and helpful in class.

My degree is in English with a specialization in Indigenous Literature, and a minor in French. My teaching degree is for secondary English and French with an additional qualification in Indigenous Education.
I live with my partner and three daughters and I teach at my local high school. For a few years that I was teaching, I was a single mother, and in this time I had no choice but to find ways to reduce the amount of time I spent planning, so these materials support teachers who have high standards and also who need a more streamlined approach.
