TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I spent seventeen years in the classroom, teaching ELA and humanities from grade level six to college-level composition, literature, and humanities courses. The majority of my career was spent in 11th, 12th, and college-level courses but also included positions in Educational Technology and Professional Development. I am currently a Director of Academics for a school. My passion is bringing creative and critical-thinking activities to classrooms.

ADDITIONAL BIOGRAPHICAL INFORMATION

Nikki Morrell Buyna is an educator, professional development speaker, EdTech specialist, and educational cheerleader. She holds a B.A. in English and a Master of Humanities. She is currently the Director of Academics at a small private school in the Orlando area. Over the past eighteen years, she has taught English writing and composition, dance, cheer, humanities, and drama, as well as held the position of EdTech and PD Coordinator. Nikki is passionate about cultivating engaging professional development for teachers, and she writes and presents on topics such as instructional technology, innovative lesson design and instruction, and assessment.
