TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I have been teaching in a rural school district in Texas for 11 years.

MY TEACHING STYLE

I teach using the 5 E model. I use Discovery Education Science Tech Book. I have combined pictures with vocabulary words to help my students remember what science words mean. I have come up with test taking strategies to help students answer multiple choice questions on state tests. My students are in the science lab 2 days a week for hands on experimental activites. All students keep a science notebook with lab reports, foldables with important information, models, a glossary index, a measurement and science tool index and a warm up section.
