Teaching is an absolute passion of mine! This is my 16th year of teaching, and I have worked for Fayetteville Public Schools for the past 10 years. I have taught 4th, 5th, 6th, and 8th grade language arts & social studies, and I am a Certified Academic Language Therapist. I previously served as a literacy coach for Fayetteville Public Schools, and I am Nationally Board Certified. I absolutely LOVE teaching, and I am passionate about helping learners reach their fullest academic potential. I currently teach an Orton-Gillingham based multisensory language therapy program called Take Flight: A Comprehensive Intervention for Students with dyslexia.
My goals as an educator are to motivate, inspire, generate student’s curiosity, and to create an exceptionally positive instructional learning environment. I believe every child can succeed, and through meaningful collaboration we can create a positive professional learning community.
I am a Nationally Board Certified teacher, and I have been awarded Teacher of the Year by two school districts. I am a Certified Academic Language Therapist with a K-12 certification in ESL.
